About Saranya Vettore
Visual Storyteller | Documentary Photographer

Based in Italy, I am a documentary photographer with over a decade of experience capturing the intricate narratives of human life. My journey began in Thailand, where I spent ten years honing a lens rooted in empathy and social depth.

With a background in Community Development, my approach is inherently sociological. I seek to understand the structures of identity, intimacy, and the resilience of the human spirit. This perspective earned me recognition as a National Geographic Thailand finalist and features in Sarakadee Magazine, Thailand’s premier documentary publication.

From the subcultures of Bangkok to the quiet corners of Southeast Asia, my work explores the “private truths” of my subjects. Now living in Italy, I bring an “outsider’s eye” to the European landscape, finding beauty in universal emotions. Beyond the lens, my role as a mother deeply enriches my perspective on the subtle rhythms of daily life.

My work has been featured internationally in National Geographic’s “Daily Dozen,” The Mirror, Financial Times, Voima (Finland), and Boxing News (UK).

Available for editorial, commercial, and personal commissions worldwide.
